My Visual Practice primarily seeks to explore art as a site of prayer, worship, memorial and dialogue.
1997 Diploma of Art & Design, Central TAFE Claremont School of Art
1994 Bachelor of Arts, Communication Studies, Murdoch University
1980 Diploma of Biblical Studies, Western Australian Bible College
The premise and intention in my art practice is to consider art as a form of prayer.
Operating from the perspective of a conservative Christian in post colonial Australia the ancient Hebrew and Christian texts of the Bible along with the relatively short historical, inter cultural and physical land environments have formed a framework and filter for work to evolve in.
Consequently, my practice documents aspects of a personal conversation with God over many years and reflects a yearning to apprehend in this environment, the flow of eternal substance: Faith, Hope and Love. In doing so it seeks to hold and honour the redemptive reality of dvine Truth.
Each work is informed by the media chosen to suit the conversation. This has included local, raw and found elements on traditional and novel grounds in both paintings and sculptural forms. The motifs used seek to maintain simplicity within the tension of layers.
Experience:
Solo and group exhibitions, participation in community and public art projects, gallery and tour guiding, teaching, and dreaming.

25t Anniversary Nine Dragon Heads | Linked Objects "Linked Objects" is initiated by the International Environmental Art Symposium Nine Dragon Heads' international artists. The project comprises an exhibition dedicated to the wider perception of the COVID-19 consequences in contemporary
culture and art and other art events researching the influence of outbreak. We say that digital communication made the world smaller meaning that we are interconnected through our avatars in the virtual world. What the outbreak of the COVID-19 clearly showed is that we are connected through our real bodies as well in an analog world. This bond turned out to be no less solid or mutually influential than any world wide web.
